4. Why we use information and our lawful bases

  • To review and respond to enquiries, assess fit and take steps requested before entering a contract. We rely on steps taken at your request before a contract and our legitimate interest in developing business relationships.
  • To provide, administer and support services. We rely on performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in managing services for client organisations.
  • To operate, secure, diagnose and improve the website and our processes. We rely on our legitimate interests in maintaining a secure, effective business and service.
  • To keep financial, tax, corporate and compliance records, manage disputes and establish or defend legal claims. We rely on legal obligations and our legitimate interests.
  • To measure website use or advertising only where the relevant technology is configured and consent has been given. Where consent is required, consent is our lawful basis.
  • To send direct marketing where permitted by law. We rely on consent where required or, for appropriate business contacts, our legitimate interest in promoting relevant services. You can object at any time.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether the use is necessary, proportionate and balanced against your rights.

5. Sharing information

We may share information with personnel who need it, professional advisers, and suppliers that provide hosting, data storage, communications, security, business administration, customer relationship management or service delivery. We only share what is reasonably necessary and require service providers acting as processors to protect information and use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where required by law, a regulator, court, or in connection with a corporate transaction.

We do not publish application information or sell personal information.

6. International transfers

Some suppliers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we assess the transfer and use an appropriate safeguard required by UK data protection law, or rely on another lawful exception where applicable. Details of the safeguard relevant to your information are available on request.

7. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected. The period depends on whether an enquiry progresses, whether a client relationship is created, the length of that relationship, relevant limitation periods, and legal, tax, accounting, security or dispute-resolution requirements. Information no longer needed is deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To make a request, write to the registered office above and identify yourself and the information concerned. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions.

9. Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority. Its current contact information is available at ico.org.uk.

10. Cookies and tracking

Necessary technology may be used to operate the website and remember privacy choices. Non-essential analytics or advertising technology is not activated unless the relevant consent state permits it. See our Cookie Policy and use Cookie Preferences in the footer to review your choices.

11. Automated decisions

We do not use the information submitted through the application form to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Applications are enquiries and do not guarantee acceptance or create a service contract.

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our processing, services or legal obligations change. The latest version and update date will be published on this page.
